30 Second Fancy Sauce (Vegan)
Have you ever made something that was ALMOST really amazing, but you found yourself saying…
“This would be really great, if it had a sauce.” or "I wish this was fancier."
May that never be your excuse again! This is my favorite super quick sauce (probably technically a spread) that just simply tastes fancy as if you had a total clue in the kitchen.
What you’ll need:
A balsamic vinegar of your choice. I usually have a few on hand including a fruiter sweeter variety.
Just Mayo. My favorite vegan mayo on the planet.
Truffle Oil. I know it’s expensive but you only use a little little bit.
These are the ratios to start off with. Of course if you need this sauce for a lot of people, just double or triple the recipe. Honestly you could never have too much and it will keep for a few days in an airtight container in the fridge.
3 Tbsp of Just Mayo
1.5 Tbsp of your choice of balsamic vinegar
1 Tsp of Truffle Oil
Depending on the balsamic you use, your ratios may change a bit. This is where you get to play Chef and taste your creation to find your perfect balance.
Not acidic enough? Add more balsamic. Using a fruity and sweet balsamic and it’s too sweet? Add in a regular balsamic little by little to balance the sweetness. Can’t taste the truffle oil? Add more truffle oil. Feeling extra fancy? Add some smoked salt and black pepper.
I have used my Fancy Sauce on so many things from wraps to stuffed peppers and eggplants. For whatever reason, the combination just really makes it taste like you 100% know what you’re doing. Making your lunch in a rush so you don’t need to pay for another $15 meal during the workday? Through some Gardein protein in the toaster oven, then place on a wrap of sprouts topped this sauce.
